RNC Repeats "Creativity" With Old White Guy Speakers

How disappointing and frankly, lame. Harkening back to 2004, the RNC once again turns to disillusioned and disenfranchised (and pretty much disowned) members of the Democratic party to speak at their convention. Is this their best and brightest? Can they not find someone younger, more energizing, and non-polarizing who is actually an (R) to speak?
2004 Convention: Zell Miller, age in 2004: 72
2008 Convention: Joe Lieberman, age in 2008: 66
Are these men the future of the party? Great -- really appealing.

And if Sarah Palin continues to call the Iraq debacle a "task from God," I think people, and not just McCain's campaign organizers, need to get pretty scared. It reminds me of the speech that crazy French archeologist makes in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

(AP quote: "Our national leaders are sending them out on a task that is from God," she said. "That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that plan is God's plan." This from a speech in Alaska, June 2008).

I love how you say "if she continues" like she has said it a bunch of times.

Regardless, I love that you are posting more these days!

Saying it even 1 time is disturbing.

I saw her speech last night. She totally rocked!

she definitely did a good job last night.

Somehow I missed Lieberman, darn. I thought Gilliani did a pretty darn good job. The irony of how well-respected he is and having been "just a mayor" was not lost on me. I know Palin's town was certainly not NYC, but Gilliani was running for President on his experiences as a mayor...

good point Queen -- I'm good with her western state perspective and experience -- Giuliani was not just running on his mayoral experience, but an even smaller segment: his experience handling 9/11. This is gonna be a very interesting race!

Lois....I found the songs insert at projectplaylist.com It was free. Create an account, build your list (this part can take awhile), save & name the list, and then click the link that says something about linking your list to Facebook and MySpace. There's an option at the bottom of that page to "Generate html code for ...blog....". Do that. Copy the code. Go into customize your blog screen and select "Add a Gadget". From that list, pick Insert html/java script. Paste the code. Hit save. Voila! Tunes.

Bobby Jindal would have been perfect in this regard but he was pretty busy that night. I'm actually surprised BJ wasn't asked to be VP... though I wouldn't be surprised if BJ was asked but said no. McCain is feeling very Bob Dole to me these days.
